Journal 5

We went back to drama studio the next day manage to re-shoot the whole scene and then we filmed and made improvements as we were told.We did close up of the toys and the main protagonist face to show emotion and make the narrative clear. We also made the room look very dark by turning off all the lights and we used the light from Sade's phone as it looked better and creepy and gave the thriller look . We did try using the actual spot light stand but it was too bright so we settled on using phone light.

To re-shoot the scene of main protagonist walking to the attic and opening the evidence box,we went to drama rooms to re-shoot these scene. the reason we choose drama room was because it's dark and black so it will go well with our title sequence as it will look creepy. My whole group went to re-shoot except Charlotte because she had history lesson so she couldn't come. We had to book the drama rooms before hand so i went to book the drama room, but when we got there someone other classes was already there so we didn't get chance to re-film those parts there so, we had to look for different drama room. Finally we got a drama room and by the time we got the dram room we only had 20 minutes to re-shoot the whole thing otherwise we had to come back the next day to re-shoot. So we began to film really quickly as much as we can but unfortunately, we didn't manage to re-shoot the whole scene because there was other classes come in and we have to leave the room.

We had to present our first draft of our title sequence to everyone in class. Our teacher didn't like the fact that the day was sunny as it reflected on our title sequence and they said it didn't look creepy and as its suppose to be and they also didn't like the road signs and cars as it didn't make sense and the narrative wasn't clear. we had make improvements to our title sequence so we decided to re-shoot the whole scene of the main protagonist opening the box and walking in the attic. We also decided to cut the whole scene to meeting the detective as well.

Journal 2

To film our main part of the title sequence we all decided to meet in Bexleyheath at 12:00 and then went to my house because that is where we were going to film her walking up the attics and opening the evidence box and meeting the detectives at the bar. But there was a problem we couldn't use my attic because the ladders were broken to go up the attics so we had to change the plan. So instead of attic we decided to film her walking in the shed. So we began filming around 1:30. We managed to film the whole scene of her walking in and opening the evidence box and meeting the detective at the bar around 3 hours. Me and Charlotte directed the whole scene and Bethany was our main protagonist and i was playing the part of detectives at the end and Sade was our Cinematographer. We use a range of different camera angles such as close up, medium shot, over the head shoulder as well as match on action. We also managed to film the main protagonist replacing the an old missing poster with a mew one over the top. we had spare posters to create the old look for the poster and we did this by burning the bit of the poster and pouring tea on the top and let it dry and then we rubbed it on the much and let it dry again and then scrunched it up so it looked old and aged. This was to show that the time had gone pass but the bother had not been found and the case is reopened as the main protagonist is going to put the new poster on top of the old one.

Today my whole group; ME,Bethany, Charlotte & Sade went out of school to film the montage for our title sequence. We took all the equipment with us which includes the tripod& the camera. We got to our location near our school but when we got to the location where we want to film at, there weren't many suitable signs and the road was too busy so we couldn't really film there so we had to change the location quickly. Once we decided where we are going to film this montage, we took the bus to Bexleyheath and we began to film the road signs, cars and arrows to show the journey of the main protagonist.
