As a group we decided to have our title and credit names to be handwritten as it link with our title sequences because it add creepy look to the sequence. We decided to have it hand written then use the computer to make it as it looks more genuine. To create this ripped the papers first and wrote all the actors and producers name and scrunched the paper to make it look more effective, then we scanned it onto the computer to add it into final cut pro. This is not the final look. the final look would be in stop motion as i will be using black cardboard paper at the background and use the spot light to shine on the writing. When we imported this into final cut pro we changed the highlights and brightness using exposure tool in final cut pro to create a darker and creepy look.
This our production name. This was created using final cut pro by Sade. This will be placed at the start of our title sequence. The production name SSBC productions,is created by the first letter of our names. We wanted this to be thriller as possible so we decided to do it in a typewriter style because the sound of the type writer makes it sound creepy. We found a typewriter font from Dafonts called 'Moms Typewriter' then searched the sounds of a typewriter and edit it on final cut pro.
Stop Motion Journal 2
After i took all the pictures of credits we had to upload and edit it. So i gave the card to Bethany to edit is as she is the editor of the group. However, Bethany was really busy with editing the title sequence, i offered to help her editing all the stop-motion. I had no idea how to editing as i have never done this before, so i asked Bethany to show me how to do it and she taught me how to use the final cut pro and how to edit it so i started editing it but i kept forgetting how to do it so it kind of took me ages to edit it so me and Bethany we split the editing and she did half of the stop motion and i did the other half.
I decided to create this Stop motion and i created this on my own. I made this using camera, light, paper, black marker pen and little piece of paper. Firstly i ripped a piece of papers and wrote the name of the title and all the credits and i scrunched up the little piece of paper after i wrote the name on the piece of paper and then i set out all the equipment; I got the camera and placed it on the tripod and now i had to set up the lights but i had no idea how to set up the lights so i asked help from Aleena she is the expert in all this equipment and she is one that lends out all these equipment to students. She is amazing. Going back to setting up the light i had to wait for her to come help me because she was helping other students but after few minutes she came and helped me out with the lights and then i was ready to go. Oh yea, i forgot to placed the black paper on the table so i had to re- do few of the stop motion again. The reason i wanted to place the black paper was for the background so it looks more creepy so it goes with the genre. In order to make it look like how it looks in the video, i had to take a picture of each movements bit by bits. For example i would place one scrunched up piece of paper on the black paper and take a picture of the scrunched piece of paper and open of the scrunched up paper little by little and take picture of every movements i do to open the piece of paper. To do this it almost took me 3 hours i had to give up my break time. But i was really happy as it came out really good.
Today we edited the first part of our title sequence. Bethany looked up for few new reporting of a missing child from different website and then we downloaded few clips on final cut pro and started editing and putting them in section and cutting them until it came out as a one new report. Bethany then added transition and buzz noise to make is appear as though its up in the Tv and the channel is changing but the story is up in every channel as it's vital. This begins the narrative and builds tension.
